From the moment I saw Ted Neeley in the movie, Jesus Christ Superstar, I knew I wanted to be a part of this amazing, captivating, beautiful show.  As a child, hearing the opening chords of the overture, to feeling the intensity of Simon’s song and feeling the raw emotion in Mary’s voice, I was filled with an indescribable energy.  I have carried that energy to this day and it fills me up with excitement and anticipation.  In 2007, I had a dream of mine come true.  I saw Mr. Neeley play Jesus live at The Hult Center in Eugene, Oregon.  Sitting on the very edge of my seat, hearing those opening chords, hearing Mr. Neeley belt those notes and scream as only he can, seeing the dancers joy, feeling their passion, and having that music seep into my soul, I was flooded with a desire to direct and choreograph this ground-breaking musical.  I am overjoyed to bring Jesus Christ Superstar to Bend this summer!

I want to share with you, my family, my friends, and my community, the story of the last weeks of Christ’s life though the sheer power and poetry of Andrew Lloyd Weber and Time Rice.
